Samsung GO N310-13GO 10.1-Inch Sunset Orange Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life

After much research and browsing Amazon’s website I purchased this one! It is great and I highly recommend it! It comes in blue, pink or orange. The orange is the color of a pumpkin. I handles all my itunes and even a very short dvd that came with an album I purchased. The battery life is great for plane rides and the size is so much easier when passing through security in airports and working on the plane.

Had it for about a month now and I’m loving it. Got the Sunset Orange and it really stands out. So here are some things that I love about it. Its chiclet keyboard (Mac keyboard) has a really nice feel to it when you type; also looks great. Even though it has a small keyboard, I found it relatively easy to type. They made it as big as possible by extending it all the way to the ends. The shift key is also nice and big, so its easier to use. For some reason I really liked the feel of the laptop. Its not your typical glossy kind, it is like a matte paint.
Some things I didn’t like about the Go was how it left your finger prints/oil marks all over the laptop. The webcam is actually really crap and I will never use it again. Don’t expect much out of its speakers; use headphones. This notebook is also a bit on the pricey end.
Overall, this is a great notebook. If you are looking for something a bit different, you should look into this notebook. If you are willing to pay a bit more for a cool design, I totally recommend this.

Very impressed with the unit. It is perfect for checking Email and keeping business info. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a compact unit instead of using a high tech phone.

Have you seen the color in real life? If not, be fully aware of what you’ll be receiving!!! I recently ordered the “sunset” orange. I’ve done extensive research on the color online (not in real life), I’ve even flickred for people’s personal photos to see how the orange looks like, considering the amount of computer-processed images out there. When they say “sunset” orange, they really mean “sunset” orange, it is not a bright, light juicy orange as depicted on the website. It is a deeper, darker orange, with hints of red that reminds me of a brick.
It’s still an orange nonetheless, just not as bright and punchy as you’d expect it.
While I’m not crazy about the color, I’m seriously keeping it! It is a very solid and well made machine, impeccably designed Naoto Fukasawa. I’m a die-hard fan of black electronic appliances through and through, but I ordered the orange because I like the great contrast it offers when you open it up, it’s completely black inside. Several of my friends are not crazy about the big SAMSUNG logo, but as long as I don’t have to look at it while I’m using it, I don’t mind it. It’s not like I spend my time staring at the case.
Cons:
The power adapter plugs into the upper right hand corner, which I am not used to. I can see it getting in the way with my mouse usage, but it’s not a big deal considering how long the charge holds… and I’ll probably not be using a mouse.
I have relatively small hands and I find the keyboard rather easy to use. However, I don’t like the dip between the track pad and space bar. My thumbs keep bumping into the edge the dip creates, almost preventing me from pushing down completely on the spacebar. It’s not that noticeable, but something that you might want to consider.
Despite the shortcomings, I am already in love with this sunset orange machine. It makes my day a little brighter (coming from someone that wears a lot of black). I ordered the machine using amazon prime overnight for an extra 4 bucks and it is worth it! It arrived first thing in the morning.

I replaced a 15.6″ Toshiba laptop with this netbook. The compactness and battery life is very nice but it took some getting used to the small screen size of 10.1″. I use it mainly for web browsing on my personal wifi network which out works very well. There is a lot of settings relative to battery usage but only 2 screen resolution settings. The speed is acceptable and I liked being able to purchase a computer that still uses Windows XP. I have a Windows XP Compaq desktop that I use as my main computer. I use the Samsung GO as a secondary portable device. Its specifications are similar to other netbooks but I would say the quality is on the higher end.
